Chicka Boom! Chapter 1 *UNFINISHED*

Jacob was wrapping my hair around the heating wand and going on about his “so-called” love life.
“I mean, if you’re gonna pick me up and ask me out on the damn date, you should pay to bill.” Jacob scoffed.
“That’s ridiculous Jacob. Men these days!” Lisa was flipping through a magazine smacking on her gum quite loudly. It was her break so she was free to do whatever, for the next 4 minutes. I was tapping my foot to Ke$ha’s “Boots & Boys” playing on the high tech stereo. The one that nobody had an idea to work. So you just pop a CD in and go on with work.
“What’s wrong with you boo-boo?” Jacob put his hand on my shoulder.
“Nothing. Just really tired.” I swept my bangs to the side.
“Okay then, I’ll be done in a couple of minutes so call your mom now.” Jacob took a long sip from his Starbucks cup. Who could have coffee at five in the evening? Only him. I speed dialed my mom and told her to head out the door.
“Oh honey, I’m stuck in this seminar for at least another hour.” She was plugging her ear to block out the noisy water fountain behind her.
“But Jacob closes in an hour and it’s gonna take you forever.” I whined.
“Honey, I’ll text you back later, just go to Marco’s across the street and wait for me there.”
“The Deli? Ew. That place needs to go out of business, they use horse meat.” I fake spitted.
“Well go home with Jacob until I pick you up from his place.”
“Okay.” I cover the mouthpiece. “Hey Jacob, can I go home with you? Only for a little while, until my mom picks me up.”
“Sure sure.” Jacob continues to wrap and drop strands of my hair.
“He said yes.”
“Then I will see you then. Bye.”
“Bye.” I slipped my phone back into my pocket. Jacob got out a huge can of hairspray.
“Cover your eyes boo-boo.” He began to spray. I was in a huge cloud of it. I was coughing and spitting out air.
“Well, I warned you.” He fanned some of it away and spun my chair to the mirror.
“How do you like it boo-boo?” He put on his award-winning smile.
My strawberry blonde hair was draped across my shoulders and complimented my very well.
“Wait, I forgot this.” Jacob ran through one of his over stuffed drawers and pulled out something sparkly. He pinned in one of those flower things.
“Now that’s hot!” He gave himself a pat on the back.
“I absolutely love it.” I played with a few curls and stood up to give him a hug. Jacob never fails to make me look beautiful and that is why he is my favorite hairdresser.
“All I have to do is clean up my station, turn off all the lights, and lock up. Soon we’ll be heading for my humble abode.” Jacob began to clean up. I strolled around the salon. Occasionally taking a bottle or canister of something off the wall and look at it.
“’I’m leaving honey! Bye!” Lisa had her workbag slung over her shoulder as she walked out the glass door.
“Buh bye!” Jacob yelled from the back room.
“Almost done honey!” Jacob was packing his designer bag with some goodies from the fridge. I shot him a gaze.
“What? I bought ’em.” He finished stuffing them and grabbed his keys from his station.
“Let’s go.” He pulled the door shut behind him and locked it. With a switch in his walk and the swooshing sounds of the drinks in his bag, we headed towards his car.
“Is this to 2008 model?” I ran my finger across the trunk top.
“Babe, this is so 2011. Do not insult ‘muh car.” He slipped inside this sleek piece of machinery. I pulled open the door and plopped down into seat. I pulled down my skinny jean leg and smoothed out my shirt. Jacob slipped on his neon purple shades and put the car in reverse.
“Music mademoiselle?” Jacob pulled onto the main street.
“Uhm, sure.” I pushed the POWER button and out blasted Usher and Pitbull’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love Again”.
“This is ‘muh jam!” Jacob started to bounce around in his seat.
I giggled and tapped my foot along. My phone vibrated. I had a text from mom.
MOM: honey, i just left the building. i’ll be on my way soon.
ME: kk. we’re headin 2 his place now
After 7 minutes of multiple Top 40 songs & some expected road rage from Jacob, we were finally at his condo.
“A couple of rules Macy before we enter: one, take off your shoes before you past the door. Two, ask for permission before you snatch something from my fridge and three, if I am on the phone, do not interrupt me. Enjoy yourself!” Jacob stuck the room key into slot and the light flashed twice.
“You guys have cards instead of keys?” I threw my hair over my left shoulder and hoisted my bag up higher.
“Yeah, this place is so exclusive.” As he pushed the door open, I could see why.
“Ah ah ah! Shoes.” He pointed at my feet. I slipped off my custom Vans. I examined the place. Nice sleek ultra modern features. Stainless steel kitchen appliances that complimented the rectangle black dining table that was next the spiral staircase. The living room was very bare. All Jacob had was a 57” LCD TV with a deep violets couch facing diagonal towards it, a smooth black coffee table with a few Las Vegas coasters and People magazines, a vine plant hanging from ceiling and narrow forest green bookcase in the corner with very few selection.
“I kinda wanted to keep it simple since I’m like never here.” Jacob began up the stairs. “If you need anything, you just yell alright? I’m trying to get ready for the club opening party tonight.” As he trotted up the stairs, I sat on the couch. It had a nice feel to it. As I turned around, I saw a magnificent balcony off to the distance. You could see the nice San Francisco buildings touching the top on the sky. Well, since I had nothing to do for the next 20 minutes or so, I looked for the remote. I mysteriously found it on the kitchen counter next to some large wooden spoons. I flipped through the channels looking for something to my interest when Jacob yelled down the stairs.
“Macy!”
“Yeah?” I power walked to the stairs to hear better.
“Can you let Moxie and Devin out on the balcony. They’re coming down the stairs now. I totally forgot!”
“Okay.” I heard multiple tags jingling as the two fluff balls (one a deep chocolate brown and the other a nice burgundy color.) step down at my feet. I looked down as they looked at me with doubt in their eyes. I wiggled my toes in my poka-dot socks and the brown one started to growl and yap at them.
“Hey hey hey! Mister or thing. Stop doing that!” I squatted to rub its head. I picked it up to see the gender because I was so confused.  They both turned out to be boys. I slid the balcony door open and the two hurried outside. I felt a light breeze  as I closed the door shut.
